Vertica Privacy Policy
Vertica is a vertical-video streaming app where independent filmmakers share series, films, documentaries, podcasts, animation and AI Originals, and viewers watch them, using coins to unlock episodes. Vertica is operated by Fomfilms International ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. 1. Information we collect

| How you use the app | Which episodes you watch, how long you watch, your watch progress, episodes you like or save, episodes you unlock, and your coin balance and coin history. |
| Purchases | When you buy coins, our payment partner processes the payment. We receive and keep the payment reference, amount, currency, status and date. We do not receive or store your card number or bank login. |
| Creator payouts | If you are a creator who requests a payout: the bank account details you enter, your earnings and your payout requests. These are used only to pay you and are visible only to authorised administrators. |
| Agreements | A record that you accepted our Terms of Use and, for creators, the Creator Agreement (which version, and when). |
| Notifications | A device token for your phone, so we can send you notifications (for example about earnings, payouts, approvals or new applications), and a list of the notifications we have sent you. |

2. How we use your information
- To create and run your account, and let you sign in.
- To stream videos, remember where you stopped, and keep your saved titles and unlocked episodes.
- To process coin purchases and unlocks, calculate creator earnings and share revenue with creators.
- To review creator applications and uploaded content, and to remove content that breaks our rules.
- To pay creators who request a payout.
- To show creators how their titles perform (views, watch time, likes and unlocks).
- To create subtitles for videos automatically (see section 4).
- To send you emails and notifications about your account, such as email confirmation, welcome messages, approvals and payouts.
- To keep Vertica secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet our legal duties.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers who handle information for us under their own security commitments:

What you publish is visible to others: a creator's titles, cover images, production name and credits can be seen by people who use Vertica. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or in a business transfer, in which case we will tell you.
4. Automatic subtitles and AI
When a viewer turns on subtitles, we may send the video of that episode to Google's Gemini service so it can write the spoken words as subtitles and translate them. We send the episode itself, not your account details. The subtitles are then saved and shown to other viewers. Subtitles are generated by a machine and can contain mistakes. Some titles on Vertica are labelled "AI Originals": these are creator-made works that use artificial intelligence, and creators are responsible for their content.
5. How long we keep information
We keep your account information while your account is active. Records of purchases, earnings and payouts are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal reasons. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information, except what we must keep by law or to resolve disputes.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data, by emailing hello@verticatv.com from the email address of your account. We will answer within a reasonable time.
- You can turn off notifications in your phone's settings.
- Depending on where you live (for example Nigeria, the UAE or the European Union), you may have more rights under local data protection law, such as the right to object to or limit some uses of your information or to complain to your data protection authority. We will respect those rights.
7. Children
Vertica is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, please email us and we will delete it.
8. Security and international transfers
We protect your information with access controls, encrypted connections and private storage for videos. No online service can be completely secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including outside Nigeria and the UAE. Where we do this, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards.
9. Reporting content and abuse
If you see content that breaks the law or our rules, or someone misusing Vertica, email hello@verticatv.com and tell us which title it is. We review reports and may remove content or accounts.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we make important changes we will tell you in the app or by email, and we will change the effective date above.
